Wow, that Pats game was insane. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for a big turnover, and when I finally gave up hope…BAM! I can’t believe we pulled that one out. I should have realized that we still are the Patriots (and more importantly, that they are still the Bills!).
Anyways, here’s Part 2 of Good Gringo/Bad Gringo. See how Larry messes up my favorite Argentine tradition- the Sunday asado:

Enjoy!
Hey, here is the article I did for TIME OUT Buenos Aires, about the best after-offices (happy hours) in Buenos Aires. Enjoy:

One of the few reasons (other than my family and friends, of course) that my return to the States may not be so bad afterall:
Gillette Stadium
The picture is from my Dad’s iPhone (oooo, pretty trendy, huh?). He’s going to see tonight’s last preseason game, then as many home games we can get to during the season (damn you, high holidays).
So, I’ll be home in less than a week now. I have pretty mixed feelings about this. I am happy to see my friends and family in the US, but it will be very difficult to leave this place (and some people here). Anyways, here is my new article from LandingPadBA:

I’m pretty proud about this piece. It’s the first installment of a 4-part series called “Good Gringo, Bad Gringo.” Should be fun-yet-educational for all.
Enjoy.
I know there has been a lot of Red Sux bashing here lately, but when so many fans and media members spend so much time talking about how perfect they are, somebody has to keep them honest. Check this out:

This is ESPN talking about how smart the Red Sox were this off season, about how they didn’t give in to spending lots of money like the Yankees, and how bargains like Brad Penny and John Smoltz would lead them to big things.
We all know how Smoltz’ career in Boston ended. And now there’s this: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4425741. Gotta love it.
Smoltz/Penny in Boston this season: 9-13, 122 Ks. CC/AJ for the NYYs: 25-14, 289 Ks.
With all the talk about Boston’s pitching depth, it’s pretty funny to see Smoltz and Penny off the team, Wakefield and Dice injured, and Josh Becket going through a stretch where he’s giving up homers like it’s his job.
Oh, and the Yankees have the best record in baseball. Suck on that, Red Sux Nation.
Not only did Ted Kennedy Die (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/27/us/politics/27kennedy.html?ref=global-home), but the supreme court of Argentina unanimously agreed to decriminalize the possesion of small amounts of marijuana for personal use (http://www.clarin.com/diario/2009/08/26/um/m-01985635.htm). Oh, and the Red Sox picked up an old, washed-up, injury prone, former closer for the second season in a row. I hope it works out as well as this did:
Here’s a great recap of one of those crazy town meetings about healthcare. Seriously, if you only read one thing all day, read this.

And I’m supposed to be excited about returning to the states?
This article is guaranteed to not get me any more friends or sexual experiences:

Kurt Rambis finally got back at Kevin McHale. Thinks it makes up for this?:
(don’t think so.)
